Manufacturing Engineer
We’re looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who thrives on the shop floor and knows how to turn problems into process improvements. This role is focused on driving continuous improvement, supporting equipment and process reliability, and helping scale operations through lean principles and standardization. You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to improve productivity, troubleshoot issues, and support new equipment installations. This is not a desk-only role—you’ll be actively engaged in daily manufacturing operations, providing technical direction, solving real-time issues, and ensuring processes are aligned with quality, safety, and performance standards.

Responsibilities
- Take part in (or lead) lean manufacturing, 5S, and Facilities Excellence work as assigned.
- Learn, run, and program automated and robotic equipment. Build and maintain the programs and files needed to keep it running.
- Improve equipment utilization and workflow, with a focus on efficiency.
- Partner with Quality on root cause analysis and countermeasures for defects.
- Pinpoint the top causes of equipment downtime and fix them for good.
- Help maintenance troubleshoot and repair equipment, build preventive maintenance schedules, and flag critical spare parts.
- Pull data from multiple sources into reports that show where manufacturing stands.
- Spot opportunities for new technology or equipment, and help justify and implement it.
- Create, review, and update quality and production documentation.
- Lead or support capital project proposals and management.
- Flag safety concerns and help build the fix.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks, or other solid modeling software is required.
- Demonstrated ability in process improvement, metric development, and problem-solving is required.
- Familiarity with all types of machinery, mechanical equipment, construction material, types of construction methods, and construction equipment is preferred.
- General knowledge of steel fabrication processes (Welding, CNC milling, facing, etc.) is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic engineering principles and strong mathematical ability is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented and analytical.
- Quick learner and self-motivated; possess ability to promptly accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to accept assignments of all types which may include intermittent travel up to 10%.
