Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will support production personnel with training, tools, fixtures and troubleshoot various product-lines as necessary. The manufacturing engineer will lead their own projects from assignment through completion while managing outside vendor(s), assembly, verification, calibration and maintenance as required. The manufacturing engineer will plan and provide feasibility on continuous improvement projects or new products being introduced within the company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support instrument production as required (Receiving inspection, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Programming, Assembly, Test & Calibration).
- Measure and achieve desired results with key performance indicators.
- Own and execute new production introduction and continuous improvement projects.
- Work with functional leaders from the technology group and quality group for alignment of processes, design reviews and best practices in areas of expertise.
- Update program managers and share project updates.

- Education & Experience
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- 2 or more years of experience with CAD (Solidworks)
- Preferred:
- 2 or more years of experience in Optics or related field
- 2 or more years of experience in programming and/or electric design
- Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $80,000 - 95,000 USD
