Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

A Manufacturing Engineer responsible for overseeing and optimizing production processes to ensure efficiency and quality in manufacturing operations. This includes managing manufacturing orders, implementing procedures, utilizing MES software (Solumina), maintaining manufacturing Bills of Materials (mBOMs), generating routings, and coordinating workflows to meet project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in production processes.
• Reduce production risks and manage configuration and data controls.
• Support assembly, integration, and testing activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve production issues.
• Ensure compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Systems Engineering.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, assembly, integration, or mechanical components.
• Proficiency with MRP, ERP, PLM, and MES systems (e.g., Solumina).
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with test operations, machining, assembly, and project scheduling.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and capability studies.
• Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint, Windchill, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong data analytics skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
