Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for determining the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing company products. This includes analyzing engineering design documents to establish manufacturing methods and processes to manufacture a component, creating conceptual sketches and initiating the design and building of required tooling.

Responsibilities

• Supports manufacturing operations in the production of filtration products by improving Safety, Ergonomics, On Time Delivery (OTD), Productivity and increasing yields of manufacturing activities.
• Identifies and develops all production, assembly & test processes, and procedures.
• Ensures products are produced in the safest and most economically efficient manner.
• Ensures adherence to ultimate quality characteristics and product design integrity.
• Partners with direct manufacturing operations in terms of safety, quality, productivity, and timely delivery to external customers.
• Assigned to specific product lines.
• Ensures all related routing, fixtures, tooling, procedures, processes, etc. are appropriate and safely in place for manufacturing.
• Reduces process variation, waste reduction, standard work creation, preventative maintenance, process and quality upsets, and optimized cell design.
• Implements Lean Manufacturing and Statistical Process Control concepts and initiatives.
• Participates in the New Product Introduction Team.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with up to 1 year of professional experience (Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering).
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word, Power Point.
• Minitab is a plus.
• Experience identifying and implementing improvements to processes, tools, and tooling.
• Experience with Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing a plus.
• Knowledge of PLC programming a plus.

Benefits

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.

The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
