About the role
Lifetime Products, Inc., is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Mascot (Knoxville), Tennessee. The company is the world's leading manufacturer of folding tables, chairs, and basketball systems, along with storage sheds, kayaks, paddle boards, and playsets.
Responsibilities
- Improve manufacturing processes through "Lean" principles.
- Recommend equipment for the blow molding production and logistics departments on all shifts as needed.
- Work closely with production, logistics, maintenance, and processing teams.
- Evaluate production floor layouts.
- Analyze material flow.
- Create and maintain routings and costing.
- Develop processes to ensure efficiency.
- Identify equipment needs.
- Troubleshoot current production equipment.
- Deploy new products.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET).
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical analysis, time studies, and manufacturing cost.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as routine reports and correspondence, safety rules, procedure manuals, and general business documents.
- Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office which includes Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, 3D CAD experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively in front of groups and work in a team environment.
- Lean manufacturing experience/certification is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET).
