Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Within our Johnson Controls Data Center Solutions group, Silent-Aire designs, engineers, and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. The team is agile, fast, and works collaboratively to achieve success.

Responsibilities

• Leading and/or participating on projects that increase plant capacity, reduce costs, improve productivity, reduce job hazards, and/or improve product quality.
• Process engineering change requests.
• Troubleshoot production problems.
• Assist in trouble-shooting assembly and fabrication equipment.
• Optimize work-station layout.
• Justify, specify, and install equipment.
• Introduce new products (BOM scrubbing, Manufacturing Trial Lots, Assist in Training, and work with Design Engineering on production issues related to Design for Manufacturing).
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials and Routings (Assembly and Fabrication).
• Support and/or lead Lean projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other related manufacturing discipline.
• 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering experience.
• Licenses and/or certifications in relevant areas are preferred.
• Lean manufacturing principles (material flow, material presentation, process flow, workstation design).
