Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and refining manufacturing processes and equipment for optimal efficiency and output.
- Utilizing lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies to streamline production processes and reduce waste.
- Working closely with the production team to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety regulations.
- Conducting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, reduce downtime, and minimize manufacturing costs.
- Implementing metal fabrication processes and techniques to meet production requirements.
- Collaborating with the design team to understand product specifications and develop manufacturing plans accordingly.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Training staff on new and existing manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Evaluating and improving workflows and assembly methods.
- Preparing and presenting technical reports to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Proven experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, and continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control techniques.
- Familiarity with automation and automation implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
