About the role

Helion is a fusion power company based in Everett, WA, dedicated to building the world's first fusion power plant. Our mission is to provide clean, reliable, and affordable energy for everyone. Since our founding in 2013, we have raised $1.5 billion from investors including Sam Altman, Mithril, Capricorn Investment Group, Thrive Capital, LightSpeed Venture Capital, SoftBank, and others. Our current prototype, Polaris, has achieved record-breaking plasma temperatures of 150 million degrees Celsius (13 keV). Helion is on the path to developing the world's first fusion power plant, Orion.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize the production process for in-house capacitors
• Collaborate with other teams (Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Test Operations) to directly influence the commissioning timeline for Helion's first power plant
• Lay the groundwork for Helion's transition to generator mass-manufacturing
• Onsite role reporting to the Director of Capacitor Manufacturing at our Everett, WA office

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical work experience in development and improvement of production systems
• Hands-on engineering or manufacturing experience in rate-based and high-volume manufacturing
• Experience communicating with and influencing partners across organizational lines
• Experience in cradle-to-grave ownership of complex engineering or production scopes
