TASKS
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality, as well as cost efficiency.
- Oversee the design, purchase, and installation of new manufacturing equipment.
- Assess the manufacturability of new product designs and propose improved processes.
- Ensure that all manufacturing equipment and tools are maintained and functioning optimally.
- Cook up with other engineering teams to ensure integrated and effective design outputs and processes.
- Monitor and improve scrap rates and develop strategies to reduce waste.
- Aid in improving facility safety and quality goals.
- Conduct detailed studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow.
- Understand and apply principles of lean manufacturing and just-in-time inventory management.
- Evaluate production and determine ways to improve efficiency of the production lines, including reducing reject rates and downtime.
- Collaborate with safety teams to ensure the health and safety standards and requirements are met.
- Cook up with quality control management to ensure the delivery of high quality products.
- Starting Salary Range: $66,000-$78,000 (can be negotiable depending on experience)
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferred in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or similar role.
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production concepts such as workflow, assembly methods, and production equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Strong communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to project manage, multitask and prioritize.
