Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Development and support of manufacturing process plans in accordance with contract technical requirements.
• Implementation of the manufacturing process and improvements to the process during the complete fabrication cycle.
• Satisfaction of all design and quality requirements.
• Collaboration with Design Engineering during the component design phase to ensure the design can be manufactured cost-effectively.
• Interface with customer representatives and prepare data or presentations as needed.
• Identification of facility and tooling requirements, manufacturing methods, or development of new manufacturing methods.
• Identification of material requirements and support procurement activities.
• Maintenance of performance and control of manufacturing costs.
• Compilation of technical procedures and documentation.
• Resolution of issues encountered during manufacture.
• Coordination with vendors as necessary.
• Support of product status and schedule throughout the complete manufacturing cycle.
• Preparation of Program Plans as required, incorporating necessary schedule and support information.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple disciplines in support of product design and manufacture.
• Adeptness with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Microsoft Office programs.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering.
• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DOE-issued Security Clearance.

Pay

$64,000 - $101,000

The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $64,000 and $101,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
