Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance manufacturing processes and tooling for composite part fabrication.
- Support production activities and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless operations.
- Drive process improvements to maintain quality and efficiency within tight build schedules.
- Create detailed work instructions, bills of materials, and specifications.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Assist with material selection and validate new processes and repairs.
- Train production staff and address nonconforming material.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Utilize data-driven problem-solving to support continuous improvement and overall product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with composite materials.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
- Strong project ownership, execution, and proactive mentality.
- Experience with mechanical manufacturing processes such as machining, joints, fasteners, and welding.
- Experience in relevant industries like aerospace, defense, automotive, or similar.
- Proficiency in GD&T and print interpretation.
- Experience with Creo and NDT techniques.
- Knowledge of PFMEA implementation.
