Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day line support and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
• Drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Perform problem solving and root cause analysis with production teams.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing techniques.
• Lead cost reduction and yield improvement initiatives.
• Utilize project management tools.
• Improve equipment capability and reliability.
• Identify opportunities for error proofing and implement solutions.

  Requirements

  • Mining, Manufacturing, or related field degree.
  • 2-5 years of industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing and maintenance troubleshooting.
  • Experience in improving safety, quality, delivery, and/or cost performance.
  • Previous experience in an operations or maintenance role preferred.
  • Led lean manufacturing green or black belt certification is a plus.

    Essential Skills

    • Mining, Manufacturing, or related field degree.
    • Manufacturing engineering expertise.
    • Process improvement and continuous improvement skills.
    • Problem solving and root cause analysis experience.
    • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
    • Experience with lean manufacturing and quality engineering.
    • Project management skills.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

        Work Environment

        • The work environment is dynamic and engaging, with machines handling components ranging from 1 foot to 8 feet wide.
        • You will be part of a collaborative engineering team that values hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement.
        • The majority of your day will be spent on the floor performing maintenance and troubleshooting, with 50-60% of your time dedicated to floor support during projects.

          • This is a Contract position based out of Dubuque, IA.

          Pay And Benefits

          • The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $58.00/hr.
