Manufacturing Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide day-to-day line support and troubleshooting. This role will involve collaborating with operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to drive improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics. You will work closely with production teams to perform problem solving and root cause analysis, lead continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing techniques, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and yield improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day line support and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams
- Drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
- Perform problem solving and root cause analysis with production teams
- Lead continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing techniques
- Lead cost reduction and yield improvement initiatives
- Utilize project management tools
- Improve equipment capability and reliability
- Identify opportunities for error proofing and implement solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Manufacturing engineering expertise
- Process improvement and continuous improvement skills
- Problem solving and root cause analysis experience
- Experience with lean manufacturing and quality engineering
- Project management skills
- 2–5 years of industry experience preferred
- Experience with manufacturing and maintenance troubleshooting
- Experience improving safety, quality, delivery, and/or cost performance
- Previous experience in an operations or maintenance role preferred
- Lean manufacturing green or black belt certification is a plus
Work environment
The work environment is dynamic and engaging, with machines handling components ranging from 1 foot to 8 feet wide. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team that values hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement. The majority of your day will be spent on the floor performing maintenance and troubleshooting, with 50–60% of your time dedicated to floor support during projects. Pay and benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 – $58.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
