Manufacturing Engineer
As a Manufacturing Engineer in the Machining department, you will focus on creating new equipment designs or modifying existing ones to improve efficiency, performance, and reliability while considering cost, materials, and manufacturing constraints.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation and modification of equipment, ensuring proper setup and testing prior to operational use.
- Conduct virtual builds and carry out equipment checks during the development of new models.
- Lead the diagnosis of equipment issues, analyze root causes, and develop effective countermeasures.
- Examine and interpret data to recognize patterns and enhance equipment performance.
- Manage projects and associated design modifications to ensure equipment production capacity is sustained.
- Communicate with colleagues, management, and other departments to provide updates on equipment status, identify maintenance requirements, and resolve production issues.
- Lead the identification and resolution of equipment malfunctions, conduct preventative maintenance, and supervise repair processes to minimize operational downtime.
- Ensure that equipment complies with safety and company quality standards.
- Manage equipment-related investment projects, including development, design, specification, and installation.
Requirements
- Four-year Engineer degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2-6 years of engineering experience based on education.
- Proficiency in engineering and equipment engineering.
- Experience with CNC machining, CNC programming, G Code, and M Code.
- Mechanical engineering knowledge, including FMEA and CMM.
- Equipment installation and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform downtime analysis.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with identifying and solving equipment issues promptly.
- Leadership skills and ability to teach others.
- Strong data analysis and countermeasure activity skills.
- Prior experience with CMMS systems.
- Ability to create technical presentations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Work Environment
You will work within the Machining department, utilizing advanced machining technologies and equipment. The role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure smooth operations and compliance with quality standards.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
