Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

This position plays a pivotal role in the assembly and testing of prototypes, facilitating design optimization before their release to manufacturing. The Manufacturing Engineer will document manufacturing processes, provide daily support to manufacturing lines, and conduct data analysis and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test prototypes and ramp-up volumes for design optimization before release to manufacturing.
• Document manufacturing processes with detailed procedures and work instructions.
• Provide daily support to manufacturing lines, including data analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of failures on instruments in manufacturing and customer returns.
• Develop and assemble test fixtures, optimizing and validating their performance.
• Train manufacturing technicians on new product releases and changes to existing processes.
• Write reports for customers, engineering, and management.
• Interface with customers to support OEM business development and provide technical support to the sales team in pre-sale situations.

Requirements

• Proficiency in manufacturing engineering.
• Strong statistical analysis capabilities.
• Experience with electromechanical products.
• Knowledge of bill of materials.
• Ability to conduct time studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience in the electronics or electrical industry.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced, located in Piscataway with approximately 200 onsite employees. It is dynamic and involves working with current and emerging technologies alongside talented teams. This is a Contract to Hire, fully onsite position in Piscataway, NJ.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $52.88 per hour.
