Manufacturing Engineer

About the role
This hands-on role supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. You will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot manufacturing, tooling, and equipment-related issues while driving process improvements across CNC machining operations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze production data and participate in root cause investigations.
- Implement corrective actions and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Assist with CNC machining process optimization, CNC program modifications, tooling validation, prototype machining, and production trials.
- Utilize Siemens 840D, Fanuc controls, and other relevant systems.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
- Support APQP activities, maintain Process FMEAs and Control Plans.
- Conduct process validation and capability studies.
- Participate in equipment and automation projects using AutoCAD.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
- Promote safe manufacturing practices and implement ergonomic and safety improvements.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a CNC machining or automotive manufacturing environment.
- Experience with GD&T, Siemens, programming, AutoCAD, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SAP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline (preferred).
- Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, and CNC programming and machining centers (preferred).
- Exposure to APQP, PFMEA, and Control Plans (preferred).
- Experience using AutoCAD and SAP (preferred).
Schedule
Standard hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility to start at 7:00 AM if preferred.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $43.27 – $52.88/hr. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
