Manufacturing Engineer

This position will provide Manufacturing Engineering support to the manufacturing operations of the plant. You’ll be empowered to lead, supported to grow, and proud of the impact we create together. The work model for this role is onsite, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engineering projects including equipment, tooling, and process improvements.
- Review project design for compliance with engineering principles, safety requirements, company standards, and other related specifications.
- Generate project approval justification through Capital Asset Project Requests (CAPR) and manage Capital Projects including procurement, installation, programming, training, documentation, support to production, and provide status reports as required.
- Identify project staffing, assign and oversee specific phases or aspects such as technical studies, design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
- Analyze, plan, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Provide process design, tooling design, Capital project design and implementation, work instruction documentation, production and maintenance support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience (preferred).
- Manufacturing process review/development.
- Strong understanding of Lean process improvements.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC and computer controls.
- Proficiency in CAD Software (SolidWorks).
- Experience with Microsoft: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Workday.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification.
- PMP Certification.
