About the role
Collaborate with the team to maintain and improve processes and systems in the manufacture of products produced in the facility. Analyze and recommend current and future systems, procedures, and equipment needs based on manufacturing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical analysis of manufacturing processes through a lens of continuous improvement.
- Support execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
- Set up and support production routings in SAP.
- Design and direct the acquisition of all necessary tooling and machines.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day process issues, develop solutions, and monitor improvements.
- Procure material related to manufacturing improvements through external suppliers.
- Analyze and deploy engineering change notices.
- Respond to customer issues and lead process improvements.
Requirements
- Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques, and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems, and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.
- Leverage Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles, and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem-solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies, and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage, and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency with SAP for production routings (CA02, CC02, CR02, etc.)
- Experience with 3D modeling programs
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with Engineering Team Center
- A thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts demonstrated through prior experience working in an equipment manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
