Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Security clearance.

Job Description

A Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for:

• Translating complex engineering blueprints and parts lists into easy to follow, all-encompassing work instructions for the mechanics/assemblers on the production floor.
• Improving the overall process of the build using complex, cutting edge technologies and automation.
• Solving complex problems with troubleshooting and new development of processes for ever changing products being built in our factory.
• Exercising technical background to perform RCCA, Lean Six Sigma improvement efforts, and develop process improvements to lower cost, increase quality, and deliver a better, repeatable product faster.

• Experience writing technical work instructions.
• Able to work in a cross function, teaming environment.
• Detailed knowledge of GD&T SAP.
• Experience with CREO/ProE and a focus on tool design.
• Experience working with electro-mechanical and/or optical assemblies.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
