About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer I, you will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes and automated systems to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity. You will partner with cross-functional teams to support CNC equipment, drive process improvements, reduce costs, and implement automation solutions that enhance operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor quality and efficiency performance for assigned manufacturing lines and automated systems.
- Support CNC machine and equipment validation activities while driving process improvements and efficiencies.
- Create, maintain, and implement automated systems and material transportation solutions.
- Analyze machine management data to maximize equipment utilization and minimize scrap.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through process and system improvements.
- Ensure process parameters remain within established tolerances to meet quality and customer requirements.
- Design, procure, and support production tooling, fixtures, and jigs.
- Coordinate equipment installations, line reconfigurations, and machine relocation activities.
- Verify preventive maintenance activities are completed as scheduled for assigned equipment and production lines.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve manufacturing performance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, facilities, and other support teams to achieve operational goals.
- Follow all company safety, security, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- 1-2 years of manufacturing engineering, automation, CNC machining, or related experience preferred. Relevant internships, co-op experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Skills
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes and manufacturing operations.
- Understanding of automation systems and equipment within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with tooling, fixtures, and production equipment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with process validation and equipment optimization.
- Knowledge of machine monitoring systems and manufacturing metrics.
