About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join a well-established, $35 million manufacturing organization in the Denver area. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys partnering with executive leadership, developing teams, and driving continuous improvement in a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
  • Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and strategic decision-making
  • Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing financial reporting while providing operational insights
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and efficiencies while maintaining a strong control environment

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing accounting experience with strong knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and production financials
  • Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams, preferably with responsibility for six or more direct reports
  • Experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager with progressive leadership responsibility in a manufacturing or related industrial environment
  • Experience with Sage 50 or a similar manufacturing ERP is preferred
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered

Benefits & Pay

  • Competitive base salary of $130,000 to $150,000, plus eligibility for up to a 10% annual bonus
