Manufacturing Associate- Summer Temp (Toilet Partitions Factory)-For Fall Enrolled College/University/Tech School Students

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Selects and sets up air operated hand tools and fixtures.
• Communicates with team leader and supervisor regarding orders, hardware and inventory.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks or shelves according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
• Maintains the production process in a capable and aligned state by working continuously to improve.
• Maintains a healthy and safe environment by keeping the work area clean, materials positioned correctly and follow safe operating procedures at all times.
• Plays orders on pallet or stages orders in designated location.
• Pulls all parts and components, understands and uses pack scan equipment to verify completion of components and/or all items and specified on customer orders.
• Operates tape machine, pallet banding and wrapping equipment to package and secure components for shipment.
• Operates overhead lift for moving components from machines to pallet if required.
• Checks and completes paperwork prior to shipment.
• Performs daily pre-use inspection checklist on equipment.
• Affords material handling operations.
• Prepares a crate for branch orders or pallet for customer orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, climb or balance and talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment: eye protection (provided), hearing protection (provided) and safety shoes.
