Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Follows verbal instructions to ascertain equipment and set up required.
- Selects and sets up air operated hand tools and fixtures.
- Communicates with team leader and supervisor regarding orders and inventory.
- Uses computer to verify amounts of items completed.
- Maintains the production process in a capable and aligned state by working continuously to improve.
- Maintains a healthy and safe environment by keeping the work area clean, materials positioned correctly and follow safe operating procedures at all times.
- Pulls all parts and components, understands and uses pack scan equipment to verify completion of components and/or all items and specified on customer orders.
- Maintains production and quality standards.
- Works as a part of the department team and performs duties in work cells.
- Performs daily pre-use inspection checklist on equipment.
- Affords assistance with material handling operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Self-Balancing Flow manufacturing knowledge or experience an asset.
- Good knowledge of shop and safety practices is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, climb or balance and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment: eye protection (provided), hearing protection (provided) and safety shoes.
