Summary Description

The TOPPAN internship program is designed to provide hands-on experiences and opportunities to understand TOPPAN’s culture and processes. It blends project work with learning about the company's culture and potential career paths.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Attend quality gemba walks to monitor product quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the Technical Manager, Process Engineer, and Management Team.
  • Provide project support for the Global Performance System (GPS) Pillars.
  • Attend Production Meetings, Focused Improvement Meetings, and other GPS Meetings as necessary.
  • Support Certificates of Analysis and Customer Specifications.
  • Scan production jobs for color accuracy via ColorCert.
  • Maintain GPS KPIs/Loss charts and report out to management.
  • Utilize GlobalVision system to inspect finished products.
  • Support Defect detection and Vision systems.
  • Review Vision system reports and provide feedback to management team.
  • Help design, implement, and maintain new quality systems.

Location

This is an onsite position based out of our Waco, Texas Facility.

  • If currently pursuing a college degree, preferably related to Manufacturing/Operations.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional roles with support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, adept at working with data.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

Compensation

Compensation varies based on the year of college student is enrolled in:

  • Freshman - $15.50
  • Sophomore - $16.25
  • Junior - $18.00
  • Senior - $19.50

TOPPAN Packaging Americas specializes in designing and manufacturing sustainable, high-performance flexible and thermoformed packaging solutions for various industries including food, beverage, medical, and consumer goods.
