About the role
As an Automated Pallet Repairer, you’ll build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood on a daily basis to fulfill customers’ needs. This is a piece-rate position—earnings scale with output.
Responsibilities
- Receive wood from the saw shop and piece together with a nail gun along set stringers
- Stack finished pallets by hand for forklift operators to move to appropriate areas
- Follow all company safety procedures to ensure personal and coworker safety
- Maintain high quality standards while sustaining high volume output
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to work in extreme conditions including elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
- Repetitively lift 50–75 lbs and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, and color vision

Pay
Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $25.00 per hour, production-based.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:00 am – 2:00 pm, Walterboro, SC 29488.
Work environment
The noise level varies by location. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including eye protection and mandatory ear protection at several locations, plus safety shoes.
