Manufacturing Associate - Pallet Builder/Repair

About the role

As a Pallet Repairer, you’ll build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood to fulfill customers’ needs. This is a piece-rate position where your earnings increase with the number of pallets you repair.

Responsibilities

• Receive wood from the saw shop and assemble with a nail gun along set stringers
• Stack finished pallets by hand for forklift operators to move to designated areas
• Follow all company safety procedures to ensure your safety and that of others
• Meet high quality standards while maintaining a high volume of finished goods

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to work in extreme conditions including elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Repetitively lift up to 50–75 lbs and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, and color vision

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing experience
• Quick hands, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Pay

Hourly Pay: $16.00/hr
