About the Role
As a Pallet Repairer, you’ll build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood daily to fulfill customer needs. This is a piece-rate position—earn more by repairing more pallets.
Pay
Starting at $16.00/hour plus piece-rate incentives.
Schedule
1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Receive wood from the saw shop and assemble pallets using a nail gun along set stringers.
- Stack finished product by hand for forklift operators to move to designated areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain high standards of quality while producing a high volume of finished goods.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift wooden pallets weighing approximately 50 lbs. regularly.
- Previous experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing is highly preferred.
- Quick hands, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Work Environment
- Ability to work in extreme conditions, including exposure to elements, heat, cold, and airborne particulates.
- Repetitive lifting of 50–75 lbs. and frequent bending, stooping, walking, turning, pivoting, and standing for entire shifts of varying lengths.
- Noise levels vary by location; personal protective equipment (PPE) is required (e.g., eye protection, ear protection at several locations, safety shoes).
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
