Manufacturing Associate - Pallet Builder/Repair

About the role
As a Pallet Repairer, you’ll build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood daily to fulfill customer needs. This is a piece-rate position—earn more by repairing more pallets.
The work environment involves repetitive lifting (50–75 lbs), bending, stooping, walking, turning, pivoting, and standing for entire shifts. You’ll work in extreme conditions, including heat, cold, and air particulates. The noise level varies by location, and PPE (eye protection, ear protection at some sites, safety shoes) is required. Specific vision abilities (close, distance, and color vision) are necessary.
Responsibilities
- Receive wood from the saw shop and assemble pallets using a nail gun along set stringers.
- Stack finished pallets by hand for forklift operators to move to designated areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain high standards of quality while producing a high volume of finished goods.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift wooden pallets weighing ~50 lbs regularly.
- Previous experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing is highly preferred.
- Quick hands, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work overtime as needed.
Pay
Starting at $18.50/hour plus $0.31 per pallet (piece rate).
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–2:30 PM.
