About the role

As an Assistant Supervisor, you will support the direction and leadership of the department. You will work closely with the Supervisor, crew leaders, and Director on daily, weekly, and monthly goals to ensure the department meets expectations. You will ensure the team has all necessary training, tools, and resources to accomplish their assigned tasks. The Assistant Supervisor will observe, correct, coach, and discipline while being involved in strategic planning for departmental growth and cross-departmental transactions.

An ideal Assistant Supervisor will demonstrate strategic planning, leadership, multitasking, a positive attitude, coaching and mentoring abilities, strong communication skills, active listening, time management, and a passion for building quality Pilates equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for line planning daily, weekly, and long-term.
  • Ensure production quality of the department and inspect incoming/outgoing product.
  • Maintain equipment in good operational order by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Keep supplies ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, and placing/expediting orders.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to standards, policies, and legal regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years providing leadership.
  • CNC experience is preferred (vinyl, wood, or metal products).
  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience with production scheduling, planning, and/or inventory is highly preferred.
  • Experience with receiving and sending parts is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent time-management and ability to prioritize changing tasks with urgency to meet objectives and deadlines.

Schedule

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

Pay

$75,000 - $85,000 annually.
