Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily assembly line operations to meet production schedules and quality targets
  • Maintain workflow and adjust staffing levels to optimize efficiency and meet demand
  • Ensure adherence to production standards, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, quality, and safety metrics
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and operational issues
  • Lead, train, and develop assembly team members to enhance skills and performance
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to direct reports
  • Schedule shifts, manage attendance, and ensure adequate staffing coverage
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
  • Experience: 3-5 years of manufacturing or assembly experience required. 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
  • Experience: Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies a plus

Work Environment

This position is located in a climate-controlled office environment with standard lighting and moderate noise levels typical of professional workspace settings. The role primarily involves sitting at a desk for extended periods while working with computers, phones, and other office equipment. The collaborative environment includes interaction with team members and may require attendance at meetings, conference calls, and cross-departmental communications during regular business hours.
