About the role
As a Manufacturing Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and packing a variety of mechanical assemblies using hand tools and bench top equipment.
Responsibilities
- Follow assembly procedures and work instructions with attention to detail.
- Verify the integrity of materials to be assembled according to the assembly procedure and/or work instruction.
- Assemble components in specific orders, using the proper tooling and equipment specified in the procedures/work instructions.
- Perform visual inspection of components and/or assemblies according to procedure/work instruction.
- Identify and report defective components.
- Ensure the accuracy of work-in-process associated with the work cell.
- Maintain cleanliness in your work area and surrounding workspace.
- Fulfill any other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.
Requirements
- Knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Ability to use various hand tools such as tweezers, rulers, cutters, torque drivers, torque wrenches, and screwdrivers.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Strong ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in reading procedures, interpreting visual aids, and following mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Precision mechanical component placement and assembly.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
Bonus qualifications
- Experience in gloveboxes and working under a microscope with small parts.
Hourly rate
$35 USD – $45 USD
