Assembler 2:30 pm-1:00 am

About the role

Quanex is looking for an Assembler-2nd Shift to join our team located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This position performs routine assembly in a climate-controlled production environment. The parts produced in our facility include window balances, handle sets, and locks. You will have an impact on the success of the company, visibility and access to leaders, growth potential, and work in a collaborative and team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow written, visual, and verbal instructions
• Operate a computer to fulfill customer orders
• Utilize machines and other equipment throughout the assembly process
• Lift and move up to 35 pounds
• Perform assembly tasks while meeting production standards
• Adhere to all safety rules and quality standards
• Maintain a good attendance record
• Cross‑train in other departments as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to use a computer
• Ability to communicate with others
• Ability to find and correct safety hazards
• Ability to alternate standing for a 10‑hour shift

Pay

The hourly rate of pay is $17.00 per hour plus a $1.25 shift premium.

Schedule

Typical schedule: Monday‑Thursday, 2:30 pm – 1:00 am.
