Manufacturing Area Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Area Engineer to join our team at our Front Royal, VA facility. The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to work well in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills are essential, along with a firm understanding of engineering and construction principles.

Responsibilities

• Work with site engineering and maintenance resources to develop scope and objectives.
• Follow processes and identify phases and design requirements.
• Develop estimates, including equipment, construction, and commissioning costs.
• Perform financial analysis.
• Provide leadership through the approval process.
• Coordinate Mechanical, Process, and Electrical design with in-house and contracted resources.
• Assist with daily construction management support.
• Maintain project design and commissioning documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering degree preferred, or 5 years of relevant project engineering experience.
• Industrial plant experience in chemical processing preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills (both oral and written).
• Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence managers, peers, and maintenance teams.
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio, Outlook), and SharePoint.

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 USD annually. The actual offer will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.
