Responsibilities
- Review user stories and acceptance criteria to develop test scenarios
- Create and execute manual test cases and test scripts
- Perform smoke, functional, regression, and integration testing
- Validate application data using SQL
- Identify, document, and retest defects through resolution
- Partner with developers, product owners, and business teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities
- Help ensure releases meet quality standards before production deployment
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of software QA testing experience
- Strong manual testing background
- Ability to interpret and test against acceptance criteria
- Understanding of: Smoke Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, End-to-End Testing, User Acceptance support
- Strong test prioritization skills
- Experience performing SQL queries for: Data validation, Data verification, Basic updates and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile environments
Qualifications
- Candidates with Workers Compensation, Property & Casualty, Life, Health, or other Insurance experience will be strongly preferred
- Financial Services backgrounds may also translate well
Preferred Qualifications
- Insurance industry experience (strongly preferred)
- Experience supporting policy administration or insurance applications
- Azure DevOps (ADO) exposure
- Prior automation testing experience (future automation opportunities exist)
