About the role

The Manual Machinist is responsible for operating a variety of machines to perform assigned tasks. The Machine Operator II will produce precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual milling machines (Bridgeport) to machine parts to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Select and install appropriate tooling, cutters, and fixtures
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Perform adjustments to ensure proper tolerances and quality standards
• Works from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and specifications
• Identifies deviations that can potentially interrupt productivity
• Maintains logs and other necessary documents
• Works with direct supervision
• Performs other duties as assigned

Pay

Salary: $22 - $27/hr
