Machine Assistant

About the role

Join Amcor as a Coater or Laminator Assistant and play a key role in producing high-quality laminated products that protect what’s important. You’ll assist the operator on adhesive and extrusion laminators or presses, ensure safety and quality standards, and contribute to a team focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Schedule

Nights – Monday – Thursday, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Pay

$21/hour + $1.00/hour night shift premium

Overtime: 1.5x pay for hours over 40 per week

Responsibilities

• Set up and assist the operator on laminators to meet quality and productivity goals
• Troubleshoot lamination, web handling, and equipment issues
• Inspect adhesion quality, identify defects, and ensure customer specifications are met
• Follow all safety and chemical handling procedures
• Complete required documentation and reports
• Assist with training team members
• Communicate with supervisors, maintenance, and co-workers
• Maintain housekeeping standards and support process improvements

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to distinguish minor imperfections and color accuracy
• Computer proficiency and willingness to learn new systems
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
• Commitment to teamwork, safety, and quality

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for long periods (steel-toed shoes required)
• Perform climbing, crouching, and reaching
