About the role

The Machine Assistant - Stacker supports the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. This role is typically the third team member assigned to a machine in Production, assisting operators on different machinery and supporting various areas as needed. The position offers opportunities to develop and grow a career in manufacturing.

• Starting Pay: $18.50 once qualified, increasing to $19.80/hr+

Responsibilities

• Safely perform a wide range of tasks supporting manufacturing areas and production
• Conduct quality checks and material setup
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Ensure all tooling for the machine is on hand
• Assist the machine operator and assistant operator with setups and jam-ups
• Keep the area surrounding the machine clean of debris and spills

Requirements

• A learning mindset
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
• Ability to read and apply content from instruction manuals, procedure manuals, or assembly manuals
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math
• Must wear safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and other required PPE (provided)
• Ability to stand and walk continuously with occasional kneeling, crouching, squatting, bending, climbing, and grasping
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in an uncontrolled temperature environment (hot or cold)

Schedule

• 2nd shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
• 3rd shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, with overtime and weekends as needed
