Manual Lathe Operator ($24 per hr)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs all safety checks at the start and throughout the shift on all cranes and tools, documenting as necessary.
• Reads production work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required.
• Examines material received, verifies part numbers, and checks for discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
• Sets up and processes material on the Circle Shear, Punch Press, Square Shear, and Fiber Laser as required.
• Skids raw material steel per job in preparation for the metal spinning operations.
• Performs inspections using Quality Assurance procedures and work instructions.
• Assignments can change frequently, including general cleaning, sorting parts, and general housekeeping.

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE

• Proper operation of hoists and cranes in a safe manner and complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.
• Operates company computer systems.
• Operates general hand tools.
• Operates shop floor equipment.
