About the role

This position provides customer service while directing passenger movement, handling baggage, and ensuring baggage is directed to the correct locations.

Responsibilities

  • Accepts passenger baggage
  • Scans bar codes of oversized baggage
  • Manually encodes bags with destination information
  • Collects and distributes tubs for baggage handling
  • Completes computer entries and paperwork as needed
  • Completes all safety training as assigned
  • Complies with ELS safety programs, policies, and procedures
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an airport environment
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Basic computer skills

Work Environment

The work environment varies by day and is not based solely on a single workday. It may contain dust, dirt, temperature changes, and continual noise that is below OSHA's action level. Work may also involve periods of continual standing in the Airport Concourse.
