About the Role
A compassionate manicurist position in a Senior Community, providing nail care services to both men and women in a relaxing and pampering environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean, trim, and paint nails in a nail salon setting.
- Use emery boards, clippers, and scissors to file, trim, and shape nails into the requested shape.
- Perform initial consultations to ascertain client's wants and needs.
- Determine if infection or breakdown of skin exists.
- Soak nails in soap or solution and wipe off old polish.
- Apply acrylic or gel nails, softening gel to cuticles, and push back/trim cuticles as needed.
- Apply fake nails, colorful designs, or French manicures.
- Shape nails carefully and trim ragged edges.
- Apply top, bottom, and finishing coats, ensuring nails are dry and problems are fixed before the client leaves.
- Soak and disinfect all instruments properly.
- Remove acrylic nails and help repair damaged nails.
- Buff and polish nails.
Requirements
- Valid New Jersey Cosmetology License.
- Comfortable styling both men's and women's nails.
- Available to work 1-2 days per week in multiple Senior Communities.
- Willing to travel in the surrounding area.
Schedule
1-2 days per week, with travel required between multiple Senior Communities in the surrounding area.
