We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager is responsible for the coordination, planning, and execution of our plant safety initiatives. The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will also provide guidance and direction for the plant’s safety management program ensuring that we maintain a safe working environment for our employees. This position will support our Beaver Dam, WI manufacturing plant.

Work environment: This role requires 100% onsite attendance to perform the essential functions of the role and has significant interaction with employees in our Beaver Dam location. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Responsibilities

• Influence behavior and inspire commitment on the part of all employees to comply with Richelieu Foods safety and health standards and work environment.
• Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental programs and applicable federal, state, and local regulations by monitoring program effectiveness, conducting audits, identifying risks, and recommending corrective actions.
• Oversee incident investigation processes including a review of all injury / illness / non‑injury incident investigation reports.
• Develop, manage, and conduct safety and environmental audits, inspections, and observations; perform root cause analyses and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate as an active member of the Plant leadership team.
• Lead the tracking and assessment of safety and environmental requirements and maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics reporting to onsite management teams.
