About the Role
We have an opening for a Quality Engineer in our Quality Engineering Department! This individual will serve as a key resource on all quality requirements, processes, procedures, issues, investigations, etc.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency in determining the adequacy/comprehensiveness of technical data, deviations, etc. related to quality requirements
- Collaborates with multiple departments on quality inquiries and issues and addresses them effectively
- Works directly with customers to address and resolve questions, requirements, complaints, 8D process, certifications, etc.
- Supports the Inspection Department
- Works with Quality Technicians and Quality Assistants to resolve documentation issues
- Participates in internal investigations and corrective action plans
- Supports internal audits, customer audits, and customer visits
- Creates PPAP’s (Control Plans, Balloon Drawings, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams)
- Creates AS9102’s
- Performs Internal QMS and Process Audits
- Assists in Validation/Qualification Activities
- Other duties as needed and assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or minimum 2-5 years of work experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Automotive, aerospace, medical production experience in quality preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to multi-task between assignments
- Knows how to prioritize workload
- Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Mini-Tab or Statistical Software is a plus
- Six Sigma Training/Certification is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 USD. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible.
