Job Summary

We’re hiring for a Head of Strategic Partnerships and Operations at the Manchester Cancer Research Centre to oversee the Centre’s operational functions and ensure alignment with our long-term priorities.

Responsibilities

• Drive major initiatives to enhance MCRC’s translational research capabilities, securing funding, and facilitating cross-sector collaborations.
• Represent MCRC at national and international forums, strengthening its influence in cancer research policy and strategic decision-making.
• Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and research excellence.
• Develop and lead MCRC’s strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

• An accomplished leader with a proven track record in strategic leadership, research operations, and/or partnership development within a complex scientific, healthcare, or academic environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading and managing teams in a research or academic setting.
• Strong background in strategic planning and execution.
• Experience in securing external funding and partnerships.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
