Managing Technician

WEAP is hiring Managing Technicians (MT) to join a team of highly-trained clinicians delivering contemporary ABA therapy that helps children with autism succeed in school and life.

About the role

Managing Technicians provide day-to-day clinical direction to clients under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst. They deliver protocol modifications using best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy and support the professional development of other technicians by providing clinical and professional feedback.

This is a full-time position with a reasonable direct-hours target of 25 hours per week. A ‘direct hour’ includes protocol modification, treatment by protocol, and team meetings.

For over 30 years, the Wisconsin Early Autism Project (WEAP) has provided evidence-based, contemporary ABA therapy. As part of LEARN Behavioral—a collective group of ABA providers operating in 17 states—you’ll work alongside a local team of clinicians and collaborate with over 500 BCBAs nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical direction to technicians for assigned clients
• Assist Behavior Analysts in protocol modification, assessments, and team meetings
• Deliver behavior treatment by protocol to clients as needed
• Ensure data is collected and recorded with fidelity and reliability
• Complete mandatory trainings and attend required meetings
• Document services delivered accurately and timely according to company policies
• Report clinical and scheduling concerns promptly
• Adhere to all company compliance policies, written or unwritten
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2,000 ABA hours, or a master’s degree and 400 ABA hours (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in the field of ABA
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of client, clinical, and employment information (required)
• Clear and effective communication with children, families, and team members, both verbally and in writing (required)
• Experience in staff leadership, supervision, or training (desired)

Physical requirements

Physical requirements vary by client assignment and may include:

• Pushing, pulling, or lifting up to 50 pounds
• Moving quickly in response to client needs
• Frequently changing physical positions throughout the day (walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and occasionally running)
• Maintaining continuous visual supervision and auditory awareness of clients to ensure a safe environment
