On-Site Lancaster, CA POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks including troubleshooting issues, repairing failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as welders, pneumatic hand tools, electric hand tools, pumps, motors, compressors, etcetera Repair or replace control devices such as switches, sensors, button controllers, valves, motor starters, etc. Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments. Document repair reports. Fabricate and modify new and existing equipment. Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programming. Learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete duties in assigned area. Read and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings, blueprints, etcetera, as required. Self-check work and inspect prior processes. Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Initiate process improvements. Support 6S in work area. Communicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales, etc.) to resolve issues. Obtain and maintain a valid fork truck/stand up license - including completion of daily maintenance log and proper maintenance of equipment. Other tasks as assigned. Willing to work overtime on short notice. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Management Team. IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Working independently in the absence of supervision. Safety Oriented and knowledge of EHS and JHA. Attention to detail and team oriented. Basic computer skills such as word, excel. Knowledge of basic assembly processes. Reading and comprehending document prints at a high level. Accumulate tools and equipment required to perform assigned tasks. REQUIRED EDUCATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Must be able read, write, and communicate in English. Bilingual is a plus. Manufacturing and facilities maintenance experience preferred, but not required. 5+ years of experience with HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair-120v & 480v (consideration will be given to equivalent combinations of education and experience). Must have experience using mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metal working machinery. Experience in repairing CNC Machines. Strong mechanical aptitude a must. Valid driver’s license. Knowledge of basic assembly processes preferred.
