Managing Partner

About the role

Woods & Co Recruitment have been granted the opportunity to partner with an exciting new venue opening! Based in Tribeca, this speciality Wine & Tapas bar will be one of the hottest tickets in town, and we are on the lookout for a Managing Partner to take ownership over the operation. This role will provide you the opportunity for this place to be “yours” and have a say in all the critical decisions. As the Managing Partner you will possess a deep knowledge of the NYC Hospitality scene and have experience managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a high-end venue.

What do you do?

• Supervise daily operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Ensure the bar is fully stocked with wine, beverages, and supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized bar and seating areas
• Recruit, train, and oversee bartenders, servers, and support staff
• Create staff schedules while managing labor costs
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address staff concerns or conflicts
• Deliver excellent customer service and quickly resolve guest complaints
• Implement strategies to improve the guest experience
• Manage reservations and special events for a smooth customer journey
• Monitor inventory and place orders for wine, beverages, and supplies
• Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate favourable terms
• Conduct regular inventory checks to prevent losses and ensure accuracy

What do you need?

• Over 3 years of managerial experience, preferably in a wine bar setting
• Strong knowledge of wine varieties, pairings, and current industry trends
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Proficient in using POS systems and inventory management software
• Excellent presentation skills
