Managing Director, Underwriting

About the role

FCCI Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Managing Director, Underwriting for their Southwest Regional office. The ideal candidate will lead the regional underwriting team, drive growth and profit, promote the value-added services of risk control and claims expertise, and assist in developing and achieving long-term strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive the growth and profit of the regional property and casualty book
• Promote the value-added services of Risk Control and Claims expertise and cross-market FCCI’s specialty lines
• Aid in the development and achievement of long-term strategic goals
• Ensure regulatory and legal compliance within the region
• Execute agency management best practices delivering a consistent experience for agency partners

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in managing underwriting teams
• Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance products and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience in agency management and relationship building

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in property and casualty insurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Pay

The salary range for this position is $170,897 - $263,179 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Schedule

The Managing Director, Underwriting will work in the Richardson, TX office.
