Job Description
J.S. Held’s Complex Accounting & Litigation team is seeking a seasoned and entrepreneurial Managing Director to support and expand our capabilities within the forensic accounting, litigation consulting and expert witness services. This is a senior role for a professional with deep experience in complex investigations and litigation.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow junior team members on client work and business development.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on quality, innovation, and client service.
- Able to oversee and execute engagements in a wide array of disciplines including complex, investigations involving regulatory inquiries, forensic accounting, litigation consulting and expert witness services.
- Guide the development of client deliverables including reports, presentations, and data visualizations and testimony.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic insight.
- Expand your book of business and contribute to the growth of the Complex Accounting & Litigation practice.
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with law firms, regulators, financial institutions, and corporate clients.
- Represent J.S. Held at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in relevant experience ranging from auditing, CFO, regulatory or standard setting, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, and expert witness services roles.
- Certified Public Accountant or equivalent.
- Proven experience with a focus on executing on client delivery of high quality services and ability to work within and manage a team.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
- Significant experience in the financial services and insurance industries.
- Prior audit experience.
- Additional relevant certifications including CFE, CFF, among others.

Additional Information
A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $200,000 - $300,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
