Managing Director - Advisory & Capital Markets

We are a growing middle-market investment banking platform adding Managing Directors to our Capital Markets & Advisory team. The group advises public and private companies on strategic and capital-raising initiatives, delivering integrated advisory, debt capital markets, and equity capital markets solutions.

About the role

The ideal candidate is a polished, entrepreneurial investment banker with a strong middle-market reputation, an established client network, and the ability to originate and execute both advisory and capital markets transactions. We seek high-performing individuals who can contribute immediately while helping drive the continued growth of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute sell-side M&A, buy-side M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements.
• Advise clients on debt and equity financing solutions, including private placements, syndicated financings, structured capital solutions, and other capital markets transactions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with middle-market corporations, private equity firms, family offices, and institutional investors.
• Partner with Corporate Banking and other internal teams to identify opportunities and deliver comprehensive client solutions.
• Lead all phases of transaction execution: marketing, structuring, due diligence, negotiations, and closing.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations, pitch materials, and transaction-related documentation.
• Negotiate transaction terms and manage client communications throughout the deal process.
• Mentor and develop junior bankers while helping build and strengthen the overall franchise.
• Participate in industry conferences, networking events, and business development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all firm and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Managing Director or senior Director-level investment banking professional with a demonstrated track record of originating and executing transactions.
• Experience leading M&A advisory, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, or broader corporate finance engagements.
• Strong network of corporate relationships and proven business development capabilities.
• Experience managing complex transactions and multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Ability to operate independently while collaborating across product and industry teams.
• Strong financial, analytical, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and client management abilities.
• Proven leadership experience and commitment to mentoring junior professionals.
