About the role
The SAP S/4HANA EWM Consultant will work closely with teams to ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. Responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of EWM solutions, delivering project artifacts such as blueprints, functional and technical specifications, system configuration, testing, training, and go-live support. The consultant must be a subject-matter expert in both warehouse processes and SAP technology, helping clients maximize operational efficiencies and distribution velocity using SAP S/4HANA supply chain execution applications, including Warehouse Management (WM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), SAP Console, and ITSMobile.
Responsibilities
- Lead the functional aspects of the analysis and design process, including documentation such as functional specifications and test plans.
- Guide and troubleshoot during implementation, ensuring timely completion of tasks with minimal oversight.
- Act as a lead resource for the team, setting and following standards.
- Facilitate collaboration with other groups or individuals to solve problems and keep the project manager informed.
- Suggest tools and processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Review team deliverables for adherence to standards and quality assurance.
- Conduct workshops with clients to discuss business processes and align on best practices.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and guide business counterparts toward the right SAP solutions.
- Manage blueprinting, design, discovery workshops, and fit/gap analysis for SAP S/4HANA EWM, EMW, and WM requirements.
- Understand the breadth and depth of deliverables and how solutions fit into the larger business picture.
- Deliver presentations to diverse audiences on a variety of subjects.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients.
- Allocate time, prioritize tasks, and accurately scope project phases.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Manage transformational initiatives and full lifecycle ERP implementations.
Requirements
- Understanding of key business drivers and benefits of SAP S/4HANA EWM.
- Knowledge of supply chain business models, SAP S/4HANA EWM, and wireless technologies.
- Functional knowledge of differences between WM, S/4HANA EWM, and Decentralized EWM.
- Familiarity with material handling systems and their integration with SAP WM and non-SAP WM solutions.
- Strong warehouse, distribution, and transportation logistics business process knowledge and experience.
- APICS certification preferred.
- Ability to provide guidance on best practices for warehouse processes and functions.
- Experience managing and leading blueprinting, design, and discovery workshops for SAP S/4HANA EWM, EMW, and WM.
- At least three full lifecycle ERP implementations as a project manager with multi-module experience (Finance, Sales, Production, Purchasing, Warehouse).
- A minimum of eight years of transformational ERP consulting or equivalent industry experience.
- At least three years of experience in proposal and business case development.
- Experience managing teams of 5 to 10 resources.
- Willingness to travel up to 100%.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required (e.g., Bachelor of Computer Science).

Pay
Salary range: $183,300 - $240,600 a year.
